Mawhinney Motorsports unfortunately had to make the difficult decision to miss the upcoming two-night race in Show Low, Arizona, after Jonathan suffered a knee injury in an accident at the shop.

The timing couldn’t be much worse. The team was coming off a weekend sweep and looking forward to carrying that momentum into another two nights of racing in Arizona.
Initial concerns are that Jonathan may have suffered a torn or bucket-handle meniscus. He is scheduled to see an orthopedic specialist and undergo an MRI to determine the extent of the injury and what recovery may look like.
For now, racing takes a back seat while we get some answers and focus on getting Jonathan healthy.
We’re disappointed to miss Show Low, especially after such a strong weekend, but we wish all of our fellow competitors a safe and successful two nights of racing.
Thank you to everyone who has already reached out and checked on Jonathan. We appreciate the support and will share another update when we know more.
